Sehmat Suri, known to many as Semi, is a digital media strategist, model, content creator, actor, and tv host who made Halifax her home in 2014 when she moved from India to do her undergrad degree at Saint Mary's University. Through her journey so far, she's learnt she's passionate about storytelling, sharing, and bringing people together, especially in people of colour. That led her to creating The POCketbook, where she organizes meetups for BIPOC creatives and artists to lean on each other and build their own niche in the Halifax community.

Esther is the Coordinator of the North Shore Local Immigration Partnership (LIP), working with stakeholders to foster more welcoming and inclusive communities that improve settlement and integration outcomes for newcomers. She was an Immigrant Settlement Staff with YREACH for 6+ years before that. Being an immigrant herself she understands the challenges and needs that immigrants face when moving to Canada, rural NS specifically, and is passionate about removing barriers for people to have a better quality of life.
Esther serves on the board of the Rotary Club of Truro, is part of the Truro Colchester Welcome Network, and Creative Voices. She's tolerated by her fabulous and talented musician of a wife, her quirky and big-hearted 9-year-old daughter, and 4 fur babies.

Fallon Farinacci is Red River Métis and a child survivor, advocate and speaker for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls and 2SLGBTQQIA+. Fallon testified in the National Inquiry for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls, sharing her story of loss and trauma. Later Fallon joined The National Family Advisory Circle, where she worked closely with other MMIWG2SLGBTQQIA+ family members and the Commissioners for the National Inquiry. Fallon continues to share her family’s story in hopes of bringing change & awareness across Turtle Island.
