Hema Chopra works as a senior diversity programming specialist with the provincial government and is a fitness instructor at the RECC, owns a mixed format fitness business and is an independent senior rep with ZYIA, an activewear & athleisurewear company. She draws great joy from connecting, helping and serving her family, friends and community through her various volunteer and work gigs.

​Hema supports the learning and movement of folks who share in similar life experiences and challenges that she has faced. She believes deeply in equity and inclusion and was recently recognized with the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal for her work in this area.
